The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber

This was the first book I read about how to run a business. Gerber has learned much from being an entrepreneur, and he has written more than a dozen books on it, including one for the landscape build business. He shares what skills he sees as essential to successfully starting and growing a small business. He teaches that the technical skills of landscape design and the skills required to run a practice are to very different things! He pushes us to think about how to create smart, repeatable systems to create a simple, efficient business model.
